| Bio: | I'm impulsive to the tenth degree, curious almost the same and remarkably tenacious. This can be a very dangerous combination, especially when you add in a sense of humour so off-beat that it appears totally bizarre and an exceptionally pragmatic view of life. On the plus side, I like lizards. Oh yes, and reading - I always read a book a day (which isn't as mad as it sounds, as I read quickly and sometimes the books are very short). I spend quite a lot of time working - I've got two jobs, so I really value my spare time, which used to be spent enjoying coffee until I started getting overdoses (I forgot to say that if I enjoy something, I tend to go a bit overboard), but is now spent in the more serious way of meditating, swimming (another form of meditation, after all), looking for deserted beaches and window shopping. One day, I'll stop to buy. More mundanely, I tend to go to the theatre a lot; I'm passionate about contemporary art and even find more classical stuff interesting; I do photography - seascapes, landscapes, anything which doesn't move too much, though I love trying to capture the froth of waves. And when I'm doing some housework - worthy but necessary - I like to look at the world through a curtain of scented geranium leaves and when I have to face the world with another deadline, it's comforting to have the scent of geraniums floating about me. Quality's going to come into the conversation quite often, because I'm very pro-active about continuous improvement and, to me, the kitchen is the most creative place in the house. The kitchen equipment is a bit less satisfactory than I would really like, which might explain the recipes I come up with. Sometimes, they are absolutely delicious. | ||||
